The Work of Byron Katie

I have been using ‘The Work‘ since I first came across it in 2004. I use it extensively both in my personal life and with my clients. It has given me many things but particularly increased clarity, strength to cope with difficult situations and much more understanding of relationships.

I run weekend workshops in London for people who are interested, you can find out more at:

What it can do for you:

Negative thoughts may run through our minds many times a day, fostering fear, anger, stress, and depression.

How different would your life be if such thoughts never bothered you again?

Using this simple yet powerful process of inquiry you will be able to identify and question thoughts that cause suffering. It’s a way to understand what’s hurting you and to address your problems with clarity.

The Work is so simple that anyone with an open mind can do it. This process is radical and life changing.

As you achieve a greater sense of clarity, your quality of life improves. Your creativity and efficiency grow, relationships become easier and you may discover possibilities that would otherwise remain unseen.

People who do The Work as an ongoing practice report life-changing results:

  • They find ways to cope with situations that were once debilitating – even finding happiness in them.
  • They learn how to live with less anxiety and fear.
  • They experience deeper connection and intimacy in relationships with their partners, parents, children, friends, colleagues and themselves.
  • They understand what makes them angry and resentful, and become less reactive, less often, with less intensity.
  • They live and work with integrity more intelligently and effectively.
  • They have more energy and feel more peaceful.

Byron Katie’s Work is a great blessing for our planet. The root cause of suffering is identification with our thoughts, the ‘stories’ that are continuously running through our minds. The Work acts like a razor-sharp sword that cuts through that illusion and enables you to know for yourself the timeless essence of your being. – Eckhart Tolle, author of The Power of Now

“Something weird is happening in my life since the workshops – I have started being nice to my partner, and it’s no effort at all – I can’t quite understand how this is happening and it feels strange.

“ We both felt the workshop was very helpful in clarifying certain things for us –I have done many workshops in the past and haven’t always felt a great ‘connection’ or sense of compassion from a facilitator – so thank you for your kindness and patience.”
